On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, Prime Minister Modi presented his most extensive and impactful speech from the Red Fort, which lasted for 103 minutes. He outlined an ambitious plan for a Viksit Bharat by the year 2047. PM Modi hailed Operation Sindoor, conducted after the Pahalgam attack, to demonstrate India’s strategic autonomy. Using Made-in-India weapons, the operation dismantled terror networks and Pakistan-based infrastructure, signaling a new era where India will no longer accept nuclear blackmail or threats on foreign terms in Bharat 2047.
Regarding the Indus Waters Treaty, he stated unequivocally: “India has now resolved that blood and water shall not coexist. The populace has come to understand that the Indus Waters Treaty was inequitable. Prime Minister Modi declared the establishment of a Task Force dedicated to Next-Generation Economic Reforms, intending to revamp the laws, regulations, and procedures that regulate economic activities.
He emphasized that the government has eliminated more than 40,000 redundant compliance requirements and 1,500 obsolete laws. In the most recent parliamentary session, over 280 provisions were rescinded.
